The Runner
The Courier's Guild (“The Guild of the Rush”) is one of the lesser-spoken-of Guilds of the Gera Realm. They are not merchants, not clinicians — they are the connective tissue between the Guilds. The Runner is a first-circuit Courier on initiation. Every Courier runs the Rush.
The four Guild-Quarters
- World 1 — GeraEats streets: the food quarter. Narrow, busy, with pedestrian hazards.
- World 2 — GeraClinic halls: the care quarter. Vertical passages, silent but dangerous if mistimed.
- World 3 — GeraMarket bazaar: the trade quarter. Visually rich; hazards are illusory as often as real.
- World 4 — GeraRide highway: the transit quarter. The fastest, the most hostile; where Couriers prove themselves.
What the coins are
The coins are tolls. Each Guild pays the Courier a toll for running its quarter; failing to collect a toll is leaving the Guild unpaid. In-lore, the Courier who finishes a full circuit with every toll collected earns the respect of all four Guilds — and a share of all four Ledgers.
Why the run never ends
It can end. A Courier may graduate after 100 full circuits, taking a post within one of the Guilds. Most do not graduate. The Rush is the Rush; it holds on to those who love it.
The crossover
Couriers appear as NPCs across GeraCity (they deliver between districts), GeraTycoon (Houses use them for inter-city transfers), and GeraQuest RPG (they give some of the game's fastest-to-complete side-quests). One Realm, three games, and the Rush is the heartbeat.
